Day at Middlewich – Cleaning, Painting and Hair Cut

Friday 12th August

We have had a very productive day today and between the showers Ken has prepared the side of the boat for painting and done the blacking on that side as well. Tomorrow we will do the red and I am going to do the gas locker lid and touch up a few spots on the side of the boat. That will only leave the cratch, which we are going to do when we get back to the marina and the blacking on the other side which we will do when we get a chance.

While Ken was busy with his sander I went to the hairdressers and had the chop. It looks ok for a first attempt. The hairdresser was a very chatty man and I was worried he wasn’t concentrating very hard on what he was doing but it has turned out all right!

When I got back we took George to the pub, The Big Lock and he was pleased when the chef came out and gave him a bit of roast beef! The landlord and his son have a couple of Bull Terriers which we saw last time we were here.

We are moored near the park where there is currently a collection of rather noisy ‘youth’ congregated. We are hoping they go home soon!
