Friday 19th August
Another mile and 6 locks under our belts today and we are Kidsgrove. We arrived here just after 12 pm after a stop at the sanitary station and a trip to Tesco’s. On the way we had a slight disaster under a low bridge, which I have to say we had no trouble with either of the other 2 times we have made this journey this year! Today the satellite dish got caught under this bridge and the LNB broke off! Aaaargh not another £100 for another new satellite dish? Well, at the moment it is taped up with insulating tape (very useful stuff) and seems to be working ok.
I texted B and B when we got here to tell them where we were then we took George off to the Red Bull. About 20 minutes later Barbara phoned to say they had arrived and were we in the pub? I said no, we were outside the pub! They appeared shortly after that and we got accused of leading them astray already!
We have decided to stay here tomorrow because B and B have been travelling every day for a week and would like to have a day off. We are always game for a day off ourselves! As the moorings here are a better height we are going to do the black and touch up the red etc.
