We have spent a pleasant couple of days here at Woolhampton during which time I have been mostly resting and agonising about the rest of the trip. My back is really not up to the task on here, for the reasons I have previously outlined so, after much consideration have decided I can not continue with the K and A.
Tomorrow Ken and I are going to turn round and go back to the Thames, before we get too far along here and continue the rest of the planned trip to Lechlade on the Thames and then back to the Oxford Canal, hopefully in smaller chunks. It is a shame because we would have liked to get through this first bit and on to the nicer part of the K and A towards Bradford on Avon and Bath but I don’t want to bugger my self up completely in doing so. There would also be the Devizes flight to come – down and up and this bit again so discretion would seem to be the better part of valour.
B and B are continuing with the K and A and we said we’ll be going back so slowly they will probably catch us up on the Oxford or somewhere like that later on!
