Monday 6th May
Today we have only travelled 3.5 miles and 3 locks from Aynho to Twyford Wharf. It has been a very warm and sunny day and we had originally intended to get to Banbury but when we got here we just decided to stop.
We haven’t done much except walk up to The Red Lion at Adderbury and back and watch the snooker final. We couldn’t even admire our recently applied paintwork because we are now moored on the other side and can’t see it! I did have to warn a canoeist (jokingly), as he overtook us on that side on the way here, that there would be trouble if he bashed the new paint with his paddle!
Tomorrow we are off to Banbury.
