Hi Everyone,<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s been a funny old week since we got back from the IWA show. George was in the vets again Wednesday, (the reason we came back in the first place)\u00a0and had\u00a0another week’s worth of\u00a0antibiotics, he’s ok now.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rest of the week we spent cleaning\u00a0the boat and generally getting ready to leave on Monday. \u00a0However, Monday morning I woke up with raging toothache! I NEVER get anything wrong with my teeth so I was really jarred off! I had to make an emergency appointment to see DR Raja. It transpired I have a fracture in my tooth and the beginnings of an abcess (nice!). I have to get the infection under control and my tooth will either have to be\u00a0fixed or taken out. I could have this done\u00a0now or when\u00a0I return from my trip. So the dog isn’t the only one on antibiotics! <\/span><\/p>\n

Anyway Tuesday I felt like absolute shit, my face had swelled up to what felt like twice the usual size, I was in so much pain\u00a0and we discussed cancelling our trip up the Trent until I had my tooth fixed. Today however, I feel a lot better, the antibiotics must now be working,\u00a0so we decided to go for<\/span>\u00a0it with the trip and I’ll have the dentistry when we get back in about 2 months time. If anything untoward happens in the meantime\u00a0I can always go to the nearest dentist and have something done.<\/span><\/p>\n

So we are off. At the moment we are moored up under the flight path at Kegworth again. I just love watching the planes going over so close (bizarre I know!) We are meeting Mum and Dave in Gunthorpe at the weekend. We should be in Nottingham tomorrow.<\/span><\/p>\n

We made a strange\u00a0discovery this morning. We were discussing the fact that Ken could put his fishing rods,\u00a0which are usually made up ready for use on the top of the boat, inside\u00a0over the dinette while we went to the shops in Loughborough. I asked how many there were, Ken said 4. I wasn’t immediately spotting 4, only 3. I pointed this out and we discovered that one was indeed missing. After some thought, including the idea that\u00a0someone had nicked it (impossible though, in the boat yard), we decided that the loud clattering noise\u00a0I had heard the night before, was the aforementioned\u00a0rod falling off the top of the boat! To be fair this did happen\u00a0during\u00a0a frantic, after dark, in the sudden ‘wind-and-rain-storm-that-appeared-out-of-nowhere’, clearing up fishing tackle session! So we were miles up the river before we realised! A phone call to the boat yard ensued and we hope they can find it! Haven’t heard anything yet.<\/span><\/p>\n

More thrilling disasters………I mean adventures soon.<\/span><\/p>\n
