So we set off at 8-30am and went for it. It was a bit cold to start with but after we\u00a0had the idea\u00a0of having the fan heater on\u00a0in the back room, blowing warm air up our legs, it was lovely! There was a little drizzle earlier but mostly it has been a dry day. There certainly is no sign of snow&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;.. thus far.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Once again there were more boats\u00a0on the move\u00a0than we saw on this stretch of water in the Summer, quite uncanny! Our journey took just under 7 hours, without breaks\u00a0(no we\u00a0haven&#8217;t been\u00a0to the pub today&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;yet!)\u00a0Fortunately it wasn&#8217;t as cold as it has been, we wouldn&#8217;t have been able to do 7 hours on Sunday, for instance, as it was bitter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">We are now moored a little way past the &#8216;Hope and Anchor&#8217; at Syston, following another executive decision, which was to avail ourselves of the &#8216;Two Steaks and a Bottle of Wine for \u00a315&#8217; offer this evening! \u00a0And why not indeed?
