Two days of torrential rain and along with it &#8211; flooding! We went up about 2ft 6in at the weekend! Our gang plank was barely long enough to see George safely to the bank! It was at such a steep angle at one point (nearly vertical) we had to prop it up on the step usually used to get into the portacabin housing the\u00a0boat yard loo, so George could get up and down it! Wellies were the order of the day for us of course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Yesterday we went for a walk through the waterpark (ok, ok,\u00a0yes we were going to the pub!) and\u00a0some of the paths were practically impassable. Indeed, we did encounter a very deep\u00a0flood on the way back, where I was in danger of filling my wellies, which are longer than Ken&#8217;s, so\u00a0he stood no chance and had to take an alternative route home. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">Today on our way back (from a different pub, George&#8217;s favourite) we saved a baby stickleback, which had become stranded on the path when the water receded &#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; aaah, bless.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808080;\">The forecast is for more snow tomorrow (Tues) night, hopefully it won&#8217;t be much. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>So now the snow has gone what do we get?
