I bet you’re all agog to know how I got on at the dentist? Well, I went Tues and had a chat with Dr Raja. This included telephone no. type figures for treatment to fix my tooth (over £550 anyway!) and the confession that I could have it all done, pay all that dosh and then it may still have to come out later anyway! Apparently I needed a root canal filling, which may have weakened the tooth further, then a hugely expensive crown to hold everything back together.
However an extraction was only £65 with no future problems to be overcome (from that tooth anyway!) so I went for that option. Today I have been and had the offending tooth removed. Actually, probably psychological I know, but this morning it felt as right as rain! Like when your hair looks really nice the day you are going to have it cut. Well, it’s gone now and I am waiting for the numbness to wear off so I can speak without dribbling everywhere! I am also hoping to be able to eat something fairly soon because, as you may know, I don’t do many miles to the food!
On a boating note Ken has been busy washing, T-cutting, polishing and painting over the various scrapes and knocks ‘Waveney’ has received since we took over. She looks really nice again now……..down one side! We have to turn her round and do the other side, as Ken says he isn’t about to hang over the water to do it, (can’t think why?) or else moor up with this side to the bank eveywhere we go!
Cheers B.
