Wednesday 8th May
This morning we did another shop at Morrison’s then moved up to the town moorings, via the sanitary station. We had a text from Penny, who had arrived yesterday afternoon, to say she was moored on Tooley’s side (she’s having a job done tomorrow) and that there were several free spaces on the other side. We are now moored in one of them, opposite the Castle Quay shopping centre, just before the footbridge.
We were having a coffee, after mooring up, when Penny came back from the shops so she came over the footbridge and had a chat and a coffee also. Then we said we were going to the pub and would she like to come? Very little persuasion was needed so we all adjourned to The Exchange for a couple of hours.
We came back through Tooley’s yard and I tried to get some cratch cover bungees but they didn’t have any. I put my last new spare on last week so I need to get some soon. Penny went off to visit her friend Chris, who is also moored at Tooley’s awaiting a service.
We will be staying here tomorrow as I have booked another hair appointment and the weather forecast is a bit grim anyway.
