Monday 3rd June
Today has been very warm and sunny again but the wind is still a weeny bit chilly if you’re in the shade (wimp). After tea and fruit we went off to the water point and did all things sanitary as well then turned round and found a new mooring. We are quite a bit nearer to the junction now, which is just as well because we did a rather heavy shop later and it was a relief not to have to carry it all the way down to where we had been yesterday.
So, after re-mooring and having a coffee we caught the bus to Bedworth, still £2-90 return for me. We paid our change in to the bank and had a bit of a browse in the high street. The same exponent of the steel drum, who had been in Nuneaton on Saturday, was playing there today. Then we did the aforementioned heavy shop at Tesco’s.
With time to kill before our bus we spent it wisely, people watching out the back of the pub. It was absolutely fascinating and rather like sitting in a doctor’s waiting room actually! Everyone (except us) had some kind of respiratory, weight or skin problem. Or in one woman’s case, all three, enough said!
Having had a short session at the pub in Bedworth, after we had returned to the boat and put the shopping away we popped up to The Greyhound and had another one. This offered a better class of people watching opportunity.
I have no idea what we are doing tomorrow.
