Thursday 26th March
Today we moved the boat the mile or so from Syston to Thurmaston and moored opposite the boat yard. We then caught the bus in to Leicester.
It was Richard III’s re-interment day and despite the fact that it was raining very hard there was quite a crowd gathered round the clock tower to watch the service on the big screen. We stopped for a while but decided it was a bit too wet!
As we didn’t get an invite to the cathedral we decided to go for the next best thing. So after doing serious amounts of veg shopping on the market we went to The Last Plantagenent for a pint!
Friday we are going to gird our loins and do the long trip through Leicester to Kilby Bridge.
