Today we walked to Thurmaston and went to MGM boats to see Mark and Martin. After 6 years of fairly intensive boating and very little maintenance Waveney needs quite a lot of remedial work!
We have arranged to cone back at the end of August for them to make a start on the extensive list of jobs which need attention.
After this we went and saw Barry and Barbara where we had a nice catch up accompanied by some of Barbara’s fab fruit cake!
While we were there we saw Jeff and established that he was going to Leicester on Friday. We are going through Leicester ourselves so we arranged to go at the same time to help each other with the locks.
Later we walked up to Asda and there we met Pete and Trish who gave us a lift back to the boat.
Tomorrow we will take the boat to Thurmaston. We may go to Leicester on the bus from there.
