Market Bosworth to Stoke Golding – Honours Even in the Football

God, these early morning starts! Away before 7-30am today, it really has got to stop. We arrived at Stoke Golding after travelling 5.5 miles and visiting the sanitary station on the way and moored near the footpath in to the village.

As we had got up so early and left Market Bosworth so early we had plenty of time before we had to catch the bus to Nuneaton so Ken used took the opportunity to look at our water pump which has been playing up lately.

What was happening was – the water would come out as soon as the tap was turned on but the pump wouldn’t start for ages. But then it carried on pumping for ages after the tap had been turned off. We knew we hadn’t got a leak because if we did the pump would come on intermittently by itself and this was not the case.

We deduced that it may be that the pressure had dropped in the pressure reservoir. Ken put some pressure in with his tyre compressor and the pump is now working normally.

Enough of this plumbing excitement. After this we caught the bus to town and watched the Championship Play Off first leg between Ipswich and Norwich in The George Eliot Hotel. It was a one all draw so not too bad a result.

Tomorrow we are off again, not too early I hope, to Bulking Bridge.
