Monday 19th July
We had a day with NO rain Monday! Well, not until the evening anyway. So in the morning we were very productive as a result. Ken blacked the side of the boat (one side anyway) and I cleaned and t cut it (one side and both ends!) We could have turned the boat round and done the other side – but we just didn’t! I also polished my brass (both sides) which, as you know, always heralds rain. Aaah – but this time I wasn’t worried about it because I lacquered it afterwards so it didn’t matter that it rained later, ta da! Unfortunately I forgot to do the tiller and the tiller pin so I will have to do them soon.
Apart from that early burst of usefulness we didn’t do much else except go to the pub and sit about outside as it wasn’t raining. Well, you know what they say about all work and no play …………..? Actually, we are usually all play and no work to be honest!
