Day at Hazelford – Very Productive!

Unusually for us today we have been very productive! Ken did the batteries, tightened the stern gland and filled the greaser. Then he spent an inordinate amount of time sorting out his fishing tackle which had become somewhat tangled during his final catch last night!

While he was doing this I thoroughtly cleaned the inside of the boat which has been somewhat neglected of late! So now we are pristine inside and out for a little while at least. Mind you a certain amount of ‘mucking up’ has already occurred in the cratch since himself started fishing this evening.

After our busy morning we walked to Fiskerton again and visited the shop and the pub as usual. It was pretty chilly sitting outside the pub when the sun went in but we stuck it out manfully (and womanfully).

Tomorrow we are off back to Gunthorpe. I don’t suppose the moorings will be quite as empty as they were the other day though.
