Sunday 22nd August
Today we travelled 3 and a half miles and 5 locks to Adderley. As it was a lovely day we decided not to tackle the Audlem locks as well but stop at the bottom of Adderley locks and enjoy the weather. It may surprise you that we stopped there because there is no pub! We can manage without one, it’s just our dog……….you know?
We spent the afternoon basking in the warmth of the seldom seen yellow ball in the sky! George suddenly noticed the cows in the field on the other side of the canal, after we had been there about 3 hours and started barking – stupid idiot! We were soon joined by several other boats and the barbeques were out in force!
Ken had a very successful fishing session. He caught precisely – nothing!
Audlem tomorrow and another 15 locks to do!
