Trevor to Llangollen

Monday 4th October

After 2 days in Trevor with no internet I have finally caught up with my blog. Today we have travelled 4 miles to Llangollen. This was an experience, with some very narrow stretches where I had to walk ahead and see if any one was coming. After hearing how shallow it was we were pleasantly surprised to only get grounded once on the way here.

We are moored in the basin where you can get a pontoon with water and electric hook up for £6 per night, We are staying the 2 nights allowed and I am taking advantage of the situation to do washing, tumble drying and ironing!

We took George into Llangollen for a pint lunchtime which meant him negotiating some more steep steps, bless! It was really hot sitting outside the pub, just like Summer (what’s that?) so he had to get under the table to be in the shade. He got a nice pat from a little girl.

Later we deposited George in his cage and went back into town for a look round. It is very touristy with numerous gift shops and cafes but a nice town. We went to the station to make enquiries about the steam train trips past the Horseshoe Falls to Carrog and we are going on one tomorrow morning. Hope this lovely weather lasts.
