Hi everyone,
After 3 very hectic days of moving, arranging and rearranging our possessions about 100 times we are finally aboard! It is indeed a pleasure to be writing this, sitting in the dinette with the hatch open, watching the sun go down over the river.
We have somewhat over done the physical exercise (neither of us is used to it!) and are both moaning and groaning with our various aches and pains! I expect we will get over it by xmas!
George is settling in pretty well, although he did get a shock last night when, due to the torrential rain, which seemed to have followed us from the Peak District, the river rose alarmingly and he couldn’t get off the boat without the aid of a gang plank (which he proceeded to fall off the side of and wouldn’t use again!) and both of us steadying him. Fortunately the level has gone back to normal now.
Sorry there are no new pics yet but I just can’t get on with the preloaded photo editing programme on this laptop (must need a 10 year old to show me how to use it!) and therefore I haven’t been able to resize the ones I have taken to put into the gallery. I will get it sorted soon.
Must go now as my guiness is getting warm! More exciting news you just can’t live without soon.
