Day at Little Bollington – Very Productive!

Wednesday 7th September

Today we have stayed at Little Bollington and a good job too as the weather was – well shite best dsescribes it! It has been wet most of the time and windy all of the time. Ken has been very useful, changing the oil, checking the batteries and repacking the stern greaser. I have done a bit of sorting out of cupboards, which mainly entailed taking everything out and putting it all back in the same place!

Later on we donned our waterproofs, braved the elements and walked to the village of Dunham Town (strange name) about a mile away and visited the little shop/post office. The lady in there was very knowledgable about the local National Trust owned area and we had a bit of a history lesson while we were there.

Later still, during a welcome break in the rain, we took George to the pub again. Sadly the HUGE pig was not in his pen this time so I couldn’t get a photo!

Tomorrow we are off to Lymm and beyond.
