Saturday 22nd October
A mammoth journey today brought us 1 whole mile to Fradley Junction. This trip also entailed doing 4 locks and getting grounded below Wood End Lock! When we got to Fradley we had intended doing sanitary things then going on to Alrewas but after we had waited for the (very slow fill) water point to become free and filled up ourselves, a space was available opposite the water point so we decided to pull over to it.
By this time it had turned into a very pleasant day weather wise, if a bit breezy. We took George for a walk round the Fradley Pool which took about 40 minutes, bless! Then we sat outside the pub and did some gongoozling in the sun. When the sun disappeared behind a tree it was a bit chilly though.
Tomorrow we are going to stay at Fradley as we still have plenty of time and we are going to watch the rugby world cup final.
